If my toy is faulty, can I return it?
If you think you have a faulty item, contact us immediately on 07 4041 4069.
There are some simple steps you can take to determine if your toy is not running as it should:
For rechargeable toys:
-
Make sure that the toy is fully charged.
-
To ensure the toy is charging, make sure the power light is flashing when connected to the charger. (if the light stays on, this means your toy is fully charged)
-
Make sure that the power source is on.
-
Try different power ports for your charger. (sometimes power may vary across different ports)
-
Hold the power button for about 3-5 seconds for it to turn on.
-
Make sure that the travel lock is off (if your toy comes with this) usually you need to hold the + and – buttons simultaneously for about 3-5 seconds to disable/enable the travel lock.
For battery toys:
-
Make sure you have inserted the batteries correctly - this is the most common cause of malfunction.
-
Make sure that you are using the correct batteries.
-
Make sure the cap is tightly closed! (Especially for waterproof products)
-
Make sure to try new batteries.
-Hold the power button for about 3-5 seconds for it to turn on.
-Check battery contacts, springs sometimes can compress - extend them a little.
If you still believe the item is faulty after following these steps, we will request that you return it to us for inspection.
Should the product prove to be defective, Erotica Adult Store will, on proof of purchase, repair, replace or refund the purchased amount in full.

Caring for your sex toys?
Different toys require different types of care, depending on the materials they are made from and what they are used for. In general, all toys can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Always use a gentle soap, something you would use on your skin, never use anything with harsh chemicals or alcohol. However, using a good quality toy cleaner in addition, is highly recommended.
What is a good G-Spot or P-Spot toy?
Any toy with a good curve or come-hither moving motion is a good option to massage the G or P area. Always consider the right size for your needs.
How do I choose a vibrator?
Everybody is different, so what works for one person, may not work for the other. It is best to know what arouses you and which areas of your body you will need to stimulate. We recommend exploring these things before you choose a vibrator.
If the toy is for a female, you might like to consider whether you prefer external, clitoral stimulation or internal stimulation. If you prefer external stimulation, then we recommend using a small, less intimidating clitoral stimulator to begin your journey. This small vibrator can be used solo, with a partner or your partner can you use it on you, if desired.
If you prefer internal stimulation, we recommend using a small rabbit vibrator, which provides internal and external stimulation at the same time. In most cases rabbit vibrators can be independently controlled and you can turn the clitoral stimulator off if needed.
If you’re a male exploring P-Spot stimulation, we recommend starting with a small anal plug, or P-Plug for ease of comfort and then moving to a long-handled P-Spot massager. Always start with a size that is comfortable for you, and always use a good quality lubricant. As the anus is not self-lubricating, we recommend being liberal with the amount of lubricant you use.
If prostate stimulation is not for you, you might like to try a vibrating cock ring. Cock rings can be used to help maintain fuller, longer-lasting erections or for solo or partnered play. Wearing a vibrating cock ring for personal pleasure can increase your orgasmic satisfaction, depending on how they’re worn; if worn around the shaft and testicles this can in some people stimulate the perineum, which is the space between the anus and the scrotum, known to be an erogenous zone. Always remember to choose the right size for you.
What type of lubricant should I use?
Always use a good quality lubricant. Selecting the right lubricant depends on its purpose.
Silicone Lubricant: If you are looking for a lubricant to use with your partner, that is long lasting and you are not using toys, a silicone lubricant is a very good option. This lubricant does not dry out, is very slippery and is great if you suffer from dryness or for use in the water. Most silicone lubricant are non-staining, have no odour, however, do require soap and water for removal.
What is silicone lubricant? Silicone is made from silicon, which is derived from silica. Even though the names of these components are very similar, they are all different materials. Silica generally consist of beach sand and quartz. After silica has been through the transformation process it is turned into silicone resin, this is what is used in silicone lubricant. Although it can sound nasty, silicone is actually safe to use on the body as the human body can not absorb silicone. Silicone can often be a much healthier option than other lubricants, which may have harmful additives.
Is silicone lubricant bad for my body? Silicone-based lubricants are generally nonthreatening with proper use or if a small amount is swallowed because silicones are not absorbed into the body. If you have very sensitive skin or suffer from acne, it is recommended not to use silicone lubricants.
Water Based Lubricant: If you are using silicone toys, it is highly recommended to only use water-based lubricant, as silicone lubricant can damage the silicone layer on toys. This is because the silicone in the lubricant is very similar, chemically, to the silicone used to make the toy and as result, they are mixable and can penetrate the toy, causing them to swell, corrode and distort over time. They can also cause other chemicals used to make the toy to leach out.
What is Water Based Lubricant? As the title suggests, this lubricant is made with water. This type of lubricant is readily available and is thin and slippery. Water based lubricants are made with xanthan gum or agar agar, natural thickeners found in plants which give the lubricant it's smooth consistency. Many water-based lubricants are now entirely vegan, come flavoured and can be used as body topping or for oral sex, adding a very tasty element to your love making.
